A significant amount of my time engineering our Salesforce orgs was spent on developing workflows and automation supporting the company's operations and ensuring the alignment of sales, marketing, project management, customer success, and finance. This helped break down the silos between departments as opportunities became projects that were passed to the project team and finance after close won and later to business development once projects were complete. In the HydroApps, LLC org, invoices needed to be passed bi-directionally between Salesforce and QuickBooks and sales required e-commerce integration to ensure WooCommerce sales were recorded in Salesforce and QuickBooks. This resulted in invoicing becoming automated and improved visibility for representatives on paid and outstanding invoices.
